These Free sessions are open to brand new players, and we are looking to welcome players born 2012-2017 to join us on the field.  You can join us for one or both sessions.

Focus on Development & FUN

The Jr Warriors Fall Tackle program is all about football fundamentals, skills development, exciting competition and fun!

Ontario Fall Football League

Our teams play in the Ontario Fall Football League which is a 2 tier league. We currenlty play in tier 2 to ensure opponents are evenly matched and games are competitive.  Visit the OFFL website for a complete understanding of other centres in these leagues, team game schedules, game score updates, rules for the various divisions and other important information.

Coaches

Player safety is our primary concern so we invest in our coaches by hosting numerous coaching clinics facilitated by Football Ontario to ensure we have the most qualified and educated coaches on the field.

It is mandatory that all our coaches complete a number of Football Canada's coaching programs prior to stepping on the field for practice.

These include:
Making Headway:  An online course that covers what to do to prevent concussions, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion, what to do when you suspect an athlete has a concussion, and how to ensure athletes return to play safely.
Safe Contact:
All our football coaches are required to get “Safe Contact trained” in a full day program that equips coaches with how to teach the latest safe blocking and tackling techniques.
Community Sport U14 Course:  All our head coaches must also complete a full day Community Sport course that focuses on making ethical decisions, fundamental movement skills, practice planning, communication skills and more.

Athletic Therapists at all practices and games

Waterloo Jr. Warriors prioritize the health and safetly
of their athletes by partnering with Alyssa Lafantaisie Athletic Therapy to provide onsite athletic therapy services.

A Certified Athletic Therapist or Student Therapist will be present at every practice and game ensuring the best
possible care throughout the season.

Every therapist is a trained First Responder,
and can care for emergency conditions as they arise.
The qualifications required to be a therapist with
the Jr. Warriors greatly exceed the minimum
requirements set by Football Canada.
